On August 25, ByteDance officially released Doubao Work. As a new agent product and brand under the Doubao umbrella aimed at productivity scenarios, Doubao Work can autonomously break down objectives into actionable tasks, call the necessary tools, and sustain complex workflows over time. The desktop version is now available via the official website, and users can also access it directly from the latest Doubao desktop client. From today, downloading, logging in, or upgrading grants users a free 30-day subscription.
In terms of product capabilities, Doubao Work spans the full chain from content generation to complex execution: drafting proposals, organizing meeting minutes, writing reports, building spreadsheets, and analyzing data—all the way to generating and editing images, videos, web pages, and even applications. In more advanced scenarios, it can directly control browsers and computers after authorization to complete cross-software tasks. For long-running jobs, it can seamlessly hand off to cloud computing resources, ensuring tasks continue progressing even when the local machine is powered off.
