Unitree Robotics has unveiled the G1+, a humanoid robot that brings six upgrades across motion performance, perception and interaction, and intelligent experience. While retaining the G1's cost-effective positioning, the new model focuses on neck flexibility, motor output and thermal management, visual and tactile sensing, power and battery life, and far-field voice interaction. The standard G1+ is priced at RMB 95,000 including tax, while pricing for the G1+ EDU, aimed at research and deep development, has not yet been announced.

The hardware upgrades center on a practical question: can the robot keep working? The G1+ adds a +2DOF neck structure with a pitch range of approximately -25° to 36° and yaw of ±110°. Its motor system has also been upgraded: peak torque for shoulder and waist motors rises by 110%, while heat generation at the same torque drops by 72%; arm motor peak torque increases by 43% with heat down 30%; and thigh motor heat at the same torque falls by 28%. The system continues to use low-inertia, high-speed inner-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motors, combined with localized air cooling, crossed roller bearings, and dual encoders to improve response and sustained operating stability.

Perception and interaction form another main thread. The G1+ uses a dual vision system combining binocular and wide-angle monocular cameras, alongside 3D LiDAR and an abdominal wide-angle camera to strengthen depth and spatial understanding. The head integrates five touch points that can trigger dialogue or actions, while a front-four, rear-two six-microphone array supports sound source localization, noise reduction, and echo cancellation, with external wireless microphone support.
