The Sines project is a cornerstone of Microsoft’s “Digital Europe Commitment” initiative and adopts a four-way partnership model involving the UK-based Nscale, Nvidia, and local firm Start Campus. According to technical specifications, the cluster will ultimately comprise six buildings with a total power supply capacity of 1.2 GW — a density sufficient to support complex large model training across multiple industries.
Significantly, Microsoft has simultaneously launched a multi-dimensional ecosystem strategy: training AI talent through LinkedIn’s “Career Skills” program and establishing an AI governance lab in collaboration with Accenture and other partners.
