Currently, AnuNeko offers two distinct AI personalities: Orange Cat and Exotic Shorthair, which differ markedly in their response styles. When asked about MiHoYo, the Exotic Shorthair directly commented, “MiHoYo is the catfish in China’s gaming industry… but hardly any others have been truly forced to move.” This observation both highlights MiHoYo’s industry impact and implies a critique of the broader ecosystem. The Orange Cat, in contrast, offered a more diplomatic, almost corporate answer, calling Genshin Impact “an excellent open-world game well worth playing.” Such differentiation demonstrates the technical exploration of personalized expression and diverse interaction within large language models, and provides a template for customized AI applications in specific scenarios.

Although it remains unclear whether AnuNeko is built on a proprietary model or external APIs, Cai Haoyu’s grand ambition for Anuttacon is already evident: leveraging AI technology to create a platform akin to a “game engine.” Under this vision, developers could simply set premise conditions to generate interactive NPCs, then build various game scenarios around them. AnuNeko appears to be a pilot project for this grand plan, using a personalized AI character to validate technical feasibility and user acceptance.
